General Operations Manager – Charlotte, NC (2009 – 2013)

Responsible for managing daily processes and functions within a busy distribution center environment.

Manage a team of 10 associates. Responsible for all facets of warehouse needs including evaluating

productivity and labor cost. Meet and exceed company goals and initiatives. Lead, motivate, train and

develop associates.

• Opened and led the Charlotte D.C.

• Nearly a 50% growth in the Charlotte operation since 2009.

General Operations Manager – South Bend, IN (2003 – 2009)

• As Charlotte office location was eliminated, relocated to a low-performing distribution center to

turn-around their results.

• Within 18 months of leading the South Bend, IN location, we won the distribution center of the

year with optimal performances in Quality, Productivity, Labor as a percent of Sales, and lowest

turnover rate in the Company.

• Recruited by Senior Leadership to turn-around low-performing warehouse locations which

included Cleveland, Philadelphia, Houston, Minneapolis and Chicago.

• Awarded the distribution center of the year 2 additional times during 6 years as the Ops Manager

in South Bend, IN.

Eastern Region Operations Manager/General Operations Manager – Charlotte, NC (1996 – 2003)

Responsible for managing daily processes and functions within a busy warehouse. Manage a team of 10

associates. Responsible for all facets of warehouse needs including evaluating productivity and labor

cost. Meet and exceed company goals and initiatives. Lead, motivate, train and develop associates.

• Relocated to Charlotte, NC to turn-around a very low-performing distribution center location.

• Improved in every measurable category during first year, finishing in 3rd Place for distribution

center of the year in 1996.

• Implementation & training of new computer system throughout various distribution centers across

the U.S.

• Maintaining Charlotte General Manager duties, promoted to dual role to include Eastern Region

Operations Manager with responsibilities for 8 other distribution center locations, in addition to

Charlotte; total employee responsibility count was 165 people.
