Geotechnical Engineering

• Managed 50+ geotechnical and geo-environmental projects of various sizes ($10k to $500k) and complexities.

• Coordinated and conducted geotechnical and hydrogeologic investigations for various projects such as landfill siting,

landfill expansion project, onsite soil remediation, and levee/dam safety investigation. Determined scope of investigation

work and lab testing matrix based on project needs and budget.

• Performed geotechnical engineering analyses including: slope stability, settlement analysis, seepage analysis, foundation

bearing capacity, slab on grade, mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall design, earth anchor design, seismic

liquefaction analysis, sink hole collapse analysis, revised universal soil loss equation 2 (RUSLE2) analysis, pile analysis.

• Prepared geotechnical investigation report, compiled boring logs, interpreted geotechnical lab test results (consolidation,

compaction, and triaxial shear strength etc.), and summarized analysis results.

Solid Waste Disposal Facility Design

• Designed and prepared 20+ permit application packages for solid waste disposal facilities including MSW landfill, C&D

landfill, industrial ash landfill, power plant coal combustion residual (CCR) landfill, low level radioactive nuclear waste

landfill, onsite disposal facility for superfund site and hazardous site inventory (HSI) site.

• Prepared 20+ landfill related design and construction drawing sets such site infrastructure, cell liner construction, landfill

final closure, ash pond closure, exposed geomembrane cover design, gas collection and control system (GCCS) design.

• Performed landfill engineering analysis: (HELP analysis, designing leachate collection corridor/pipe, riser structure,

forcemain, leachate pump, manhole, geomembrane earth anchor against wind uplift, active and passive GCCS, annual

greenhouse gas USEPA e-GGRT reporting).

• Completed/reviewed landfill engineering plans and documents (Closure and Post-Closure Plan, Operation and Maintenance

Plan, Operations Plan, Methane Monitoring Plan, Groundwater Monitoring Plan, CQA Plan, Technical Specifications and

QA/QC Plans, Request for Bids, Bid Documents).

Stormwater Management

• Conducted surface water management system design: site-wide hydrology and hydraulic analysis (hydroCAD), drainage

ditch/culvert sizing, dry/wet detention pond design, outlet protection design, erosion matting design.

• Completed stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP), erosion and sediment pollution control plan, NPDES permit.

3D Design Visualization

• Expertise in rapid design visualization for 30+ civil, geo-environmental, and site development projects.
