To whom it may concern,

My love for the sea has lead me to work on passenger ships, namely with

Princess Cruise lines. As a 1st deck officer, I was responsible for the

general command of the bridge, overseeing at least three subordinate deck

cadets, and assisted the captain with maneuvering the ship when arriving

and departing from port. I was one of two officers in charge of training

new staff in safety instructions including lifeboats, safety equipment and

fire fighting training. I was also responsible for training the 3rd deck

cadets for the incoming season in regards to tides, currents, and general

bridge operations.

I was the navigation officer in command of planning future cruises in

specific ports of call, including Alaska, Eastern and Western coasts of

the United States of America, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, northern

Europe, including the English channel, as well navigating through the

panama canal in a vessel over 100,000GT. On a notable voyage I participated

in two rescue missions and supervised all subsequent fast rescue boat

missions.

Being on one of the newest Princess Cruise ships afforded me the

opportunity to work with the most sophisticated navigational equipment

specifically ECDIS and IBS. I also have experience working with diesel

engines as well as traditional navigational equipment.

Conversely, as the first officer of a tug boat with Adriatic

Towage/Smit Company I learned the maneuvers of docking and undocking a

Liquid Nautical Gas carrier in the Adriatic sea. I am an ideal candidate

due to my many years of experience on merchant, passenger and towing

vessels. I am a dedicated, accomplished, hard working, and trustworthy

leader with over 8 year of experience, and I am eager to embark on a new

and challenging career.

Sincerely,

Federico Boscolo
