Affinity Health Plan uses Facets systems to cater to their needs. Affinity

need to migrate the Facets version from 4.81 to 5.01 so as to accommodate

HIPAA 5010, ICD 10 coding system and HIX intergration. The migration to the

higher version would result in subsequent impact on some of the reports,

interfaces and extensions due to the changes/ enhancements that has been

incorporated in the higher version 5.01.

Objective of the redemption/up gradation is to deliver a new health plan

that process all the emerging new business needs and improve the customer

experience.

MLRE application allows the business user to configure the

INN and ONN Rebate percentage applicable for different legal

entities, credit deadline date, payer address information,

calculation threshold parameters etc that are used by Medical

Loss Ratio Engine (MLRE) to calculate rebate to achieve the

required MLR Medical Loss Ratio enterprise capabilities at

the organizational level.

The Self Service application allows the CCPs to provide

information to the customers' on their rebate details such as

the applied rebate percentage, rebate amount, rebate date

etc. Through MLRE application the business user can also hold

payment for a particular Aggregate Group and Policy.

MLRE application allows the business user to void / Approve

Void / Re-issue the check payment which is already dispatched

to the Customer.

Also, the business user / CCPs can edit the customers' or

subscribers' address through Self Service UI.

AmeriChoice, a business unit of UnitedHealth Group (UHG), serves more

than two million beneficiaries of government health care programs in 21

states and the District of Columbia. Business Functions areas present in

Americhoice are Member, Provider, Clinical, Financial, Call centre, Claims

and Ancillary services. In order to support the ongoing business

requirements, numerous processes are built in and around AmeriChoice in the

form of Batch Process, interfaces and reports/letters.

AmeriChoice Health plans operating in the different states offer more

number of health care services. There are different modules in AmeriChoice

like Subscriber/Member, Web Applications, Financial, Claims,

Reporting/Quality and Provider etc.

The project involves providing maintenance and application performance

tuning related services. Address the enhancements for the AmeriChoice

application in addition to providing independent testing services.

In this project I worked for Web Application module to test different Web

Applications like UTD (Universal Tracker Database), Find-A-Doc, AmeriChoice

Online, HTDU, Find-A-Drug, Fast Register and SUPERCHP.
