Description of Project: Transfield Services Ltd., is a leading provider of

asset services to key industries in the resources, energy, industrial,

infrastructure, property and defence sectors in Australia and New

Zealand. It provides consulting, engineering, construction,

operations, maintenance and upgrades. Field engineers are provided

with iPads to update their work progress and the data would be stored

in SAP R/3 4.7 through Syclo work manager 5.3. SAP R/3 4.7 should be

upgraded to SAP ECC 6.0 which is termed as Phase 2 of software

development. I have been assigned to this project as TECH LEAD for

mobility phase 2 implementation activities.

Contributions

> Involved in support activities of phase 1 as Phase 2 development

activities were postponed

> Involved in monitoring Agentry Server

> Fixed issue by extending the validity of RFC user ID which caused Agentry

Server start up failure.

> Resolved the Time sync issue by fixing the code under

timeZoneAlias section of Agentry.ini file

> Resolved issues of java heap out of memory by increasing the

maxHeapSize in java section of Agentry.ini file of Agentry

Server

> Identified design issues (Logic of work order filtration based

on personal number was implemented in JAVA Layer which was

Project Name: GDFO (Gas Distribution Front Office)

Description of Project: Gas Distribution Front Office (GDFO) Program is to

provide the gas in an effective and efficient manner through out UK.

GDFO assigns the jobs to field engineers in the form of Work Orders of

SAP PM Module and the same are delivered to their mobile devices

(known as tough books). This has been achieved by Syclo Agentry

Platform (Syclo SAP Work Manager 5.0). The jobs are divided into 4

different parts namely Emergency, Maintenance, Construction and

Repair.

The software is developed in different Phases namely Release 1,

Release 2, Release 3, Release 3 wave 1, Release 3 wave 2 and Release 3

wave 3. NG has come up with another requirement in the form of CRs

(Change in Requirements) to improve the process and performance of the

developed software named as Gas Distribution Process Improvement

(GDPI) and all the above releases were developed and went live one

after the other based on the requirements and I was involved in all of

the above mentioned development activities.

> Involved in full cycle implementation

> Involved in installation of Agentry Servers and setting up end to end

connectivity of Agentry Mobile Application using Syclo Work Manager 5.0.

> Provided functional and technical inputs for Syclo and SAP Plant

Maintenance module.

> Came up with a solution and did POC on reducing the QMMA table

data growth issue, which was a major performance issue in NG SAP

systems, by deleting the activity codes having empty text in

MATXT field and also developed the code to add the deleted

Activity codes back in order for the Agentry client to work

properly.

> Identified bug of accumulating orphan entries in Syclo standard PUSH

Description of Project: Gas Distribution Process Improvement program is to

improve the process and functionality of the existing system based on the

business requirements and develop/modify the system in the form of CRs.

Tower Watson cloud based HR solution identified by NG UK and USA as a

strategic online HR Global solution would be catering to the business

process requirement of Workforce planning, Performance Management, Talent

Management, Compensation Management and Learning solution. SAP HR being the

Core HR system within National Grid environment, the business decided to

interface SAP HR data to Tower Watson application for all the basic

business critical HR data requirements.

Hence all basic SAP HR data considered as part of the Tower Watson

requirement will always be managed at SAP HR as single point of maintenance

and auto interfaced to replicate the information to other external

application system processes. The basic data is classified as below:

1. Employee Master data

2. Employee Pay data

The program has to output two separate files namely Employee data and Pay

data. The driving file for the program is employee master data table

linking the corresponding information of employee pay data.
