Project: "Experimental study on concrete using recycled plastic as coarse

aggregate".

Description: concrete with reduced weight and improved durability, enables

longer spans and heavy construction. The high cost and scarcity of

conventional building materials is a major factor affecting the

construction engineering to maintain the quality, to complete the project

in time with less cost. This has necessitated research into alternative

materials of construction.

Plastic waste is a chemical waste. Since it has good durability,

elastic characteristics properties and suitable for long standing uses.

Therefore an attempt is made to utilize this plastic waste in concrete and

to make this concrete light weight so that it has good characteristics than

compared to normal concrete.
