Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining and implementing company safety manual and client safety program and safety action plan.

Conducting safety walk through to monitor effectiveness of existing policy/ procedures identify work practice/condition that are potential harmful to employees and issue corrective measures as reasonably practicable.

Providing adequate personal protective equipment to protect employees from hazards which cannot be otherwise eliminated and controlled.

Addressing weekly toolbox meeting to provide safety awareness.

Inspection of rigging and lifting tools and monitoring for safe operation.

Inspection for maintenance of safety equipments.

Incident/accident investigation, analyzing accidents and spreading awareness.

Overall responsibility of the Safety, Health & Environment (HSE) protection activities and Fire Protection Systems.

Plan, control and co-ordinate the activities of Safety Department.

Implementation of company safety policy and safety standards.

Conduct safety audits and inspections at process units and identity the potential hazards involved.

Organize safety committee meetings organize emergency drills & suggest for

improvements.

Enforcement of work permits systems.

Safety training to employees, training need identification and develop training

course.

Accident investigation and root course analysis maintaining data base for

accident trend analysis, suggest management for improvements and monitor

follow up.

Assist senior engineers in the selection of control methods.
