Professional Experience:

Instrumentation Laboratories - SQA/Lab Manager - July 2012 - Present

As lab manager I took on the task of redesigning the lab. I reconfigured

our existing lab space and upgraded the electrical service to accommodate

growth. I am responsible for maintaining the lab environment, controlling

IP addresses, ordering supplies and enforcing rules. Under my direction we

were audited twice and passed both audits.

Testing software for critical care medical equipment is my priority. Using

the specification documents I create test design documents and test cases,

revise existing test cases and executed test plans. I attend Design and

Test Case reviews where I verify proposed testing methods will meet

requirements. Responsible for identifying and record the sequence of

activities that produced malfunctions in the software. Write software

defect reports and verify defect resolutions. Operation and testing of

GEM4000/5000 blood analyzer.

I was involved in the development of the Remote Diagnostics Users Guide for

the GEM4000. I worked closely with marketing and support and provided step

by step instructions and screenshots to be used in the guide. I reviewed

the guide several times and supplied feedback until the document was

completed. I then did a final pass to assure the documentation was correct

before publication.

GSN Digital - SQA Contractor 2011 - 2012

While at GSN I designed and implemented a Smoke Test plan. Attending daily

SCRUM meetings and biweekly Sprint meetings where we exchanged ideas,

discussed problems and ideas for their resolution. Web based testing for

the UI and Functionality using Chrome, Firefox, IE and Safari. Created

software problem reports and verified software fixes.

Heilind Electronics - MIS Support - Contractor 2008 - 2011

Maintained and supported business systems. Support users with system and

software functionality and technical issues. Troubleshoot hardware and

software issues. Monitored and maintained virus protection for corporate

computers.

IBM Software Group, Massachusetts ( Lotus Development 1995 - 2007

Software Quality Engineer -Level 3 Support

Close interaction with customers for configuration changes and problem

resolution. Detected and repaired Lotus Virtual Classroom configuration

issues for customers both on-site and remotely. Created detailed Software

Problem Reports (SPR's) with step-by-step instructions and screenshots.

While working on the Development Support team I was able to identify and

resolve issues that were unidentifiable by both level one and level two

support teams. I also did Migration testing of Quickplace from Workplace to

Quickr J2EE for Websphere Portal and tested the Workplace family of

products including: WCS, Designer, Teamspace, Document Library, Web

Software Quality Engineer -Lotus Virtual Classroom (LVC)

During this time I was responsible for the installations and maintenance of

servers and software for development and QA lab environment. Installation

of Windows OS, Domino Servers, Sametime Servers, Quickplace and LVC.

Performed installation testing, unit testing, integration testing,

functional testing, usability testing, acceptance testing, negative

testing, load and failover testing. I evaluated documents, plans and

requirements and developed and executed test plans for LVC. I was assigned

and completed the task of created step by step instructions for

installation guide. I worked with Development, Product Management, Client

Services, and Customer Support, provided solutions to design flaws.

Identified, logged, and tracked defects. I attend weekly triage meetings

with development to determine the severity of defects.

Software/Systems Quality Engineer - Developer Toolkit

Testing the C API for Notes/Domino releases. Maintained the test suite

for the C API. The test suite was flawed with 98 errors when I started

and I was able to identify the errors and repair the suite. Updated

sample code for new releases. Tested and verified issues of sample code

to be provided as a download to customers. Configured and tested the

required QE platforms.

Systems/Software Quality Engineer - Hot media Connection Services (HMCS)/

(DMCS)

I was the first person on this team and I worked with management to build

a successful team for the project. I was responsible for doing research

to determine the needed equipment and setup and maintained a fully

functioning lab for the Hot Media Connection Services (HMCS) and Domino

Media Connection Service (DMCS) team. Setup hardware, installed and

configured various network interfaces and video cards. Did the

installation of Windows servers and clients. Installation of Domino and

Sametime Servers. Installation of Lotus Notes Clients. Installation of

Real Producer, Real Player, Windows Media Encoder and Media player. I

installed configured and maintained all required operating systems for QA

and Development. I ordered and tracked both hardware and software

necessary for testing. Created and maintained inventory of computer

systems, maintained a list of environments for both QE and Development

staging servers.

I performed network administration for the HMCS/DMCS test lab. Performed

Domino server administration for the HMCS/DMCS test lab. Setup hardware,

installed and configured various network interfaces and video cards.

Setup and maintained the media test lab with a variety of cameras and VCR

equipment for encoding media.

Wrote and executed test plans for encoding media, media format,

administration, central server testing, load testing, fail over testing,

routing and replication testing of streaming media. Created in-house

training videos. Performed Web and Notes testing of streaming media. Web

based testing using IE and Firefox. Performed acceptance, regression,

verification, validation and usability testing. Performed

functional/load, server admin/client testing, media encoding, IM and

email testing. I also attended weekly triage meeting to discuss software

issues and set priorities. I attended EBusiness trade show where I setup

a booth and did a presentation of the software.

Software/Systems Quality Engineer -Contractor - WAN Drivers

When I joined this team it was a non-functioning team with no QA or

Development in place. I setup and maintained a fully functioning multi-

domain lab for the Lotus Notes WAN Driver team. Enabled a lab of 35

servers and clients to communicate over TCP/IP, X25, ISDN and SNA on OS2,

Window and UNIX systems. I participated in the hiring of both the

Development and QA team. I trained new Engineers for the WAN driver

testing team. Performed network administration for the Notes WAN driver

development and testing lab. Setup hardware, installed and configured a

variety of network interfaces. Executed test plans for various Notes WAN

drivers on multiple platforms.
