Progressive Dies previous Set-Ups by templates now being pinned in bar
locators and clamping systems with T-Slots, production and tooling time
studies documented and followed by graphs and charts, tooling and fixture
design and build, revising existing tooling, coil containment fixtures
flexible for multiple set-ups threw progressive tooling preventing coil
collapse/jamming due to material camber or tooling hang ups along with
Conveyor and Pneumatic Systems to assist coil part strip lifting and part
ejection all for increasing (SPM). Pneumatic Scrap Shakers made to fit
inside tooling where conveyor size is limited, shakers remove scrap from
inside tooling existing back side of the press tied directly to the machine
control for die protection, if slugs (scrap) build up stops the press for
clean out or inspection.
Achievements: Significant increase in press Strokes Per minute (SPM), Coil
Management Systems (CMS), engineer and integrate die protection systems.
