During tax season, interview clients to gather relevant tax information and

supporting documents. Complete the tax returns and file electronically with

IRS EFile. Generate client work papers using Excel to write complex tax

calculations. Prepare journal entries using Drake Client Write-Up software.

These entries were used to reconcile the ending balance for partnership

returns. Research tax law changes and make tax planning calculations in

Excel spreadsheets.

TSQL language and use of SQL Server tools such as Enterprise Manager,

Strong knowledge of relational database design and the principles of

normalization. I have created numerous tables with primary and foreign key

dollars.

Excel Spreadsheets- Used Excel to format data into CSV files for import

into HR system such as Peoplesoft, and SAP. Extensive use of Excel VBA

macros to transform data from client sources into import files. Set up

complex calculations using Excel for several client applications.

statistical analysis, etc.

Software Tester- Arthur Andersen, Sarasota FL 07/1996 - 06/2002

Software Testing- Wrote scripts with automated testing software (SQA) to

perform regression tests for WorldPro. WorldPro is a 3 tiered application

including a web and console UI interface, business object layer hosted in

COM+, and a large SQL Server database. Working from the technical design

documents wrote test requirements and test cases to ensure adequate test

coverage. UI scripting to validate CRUD operations including required

fields. Data capture at the UI level to verify all data entered can be

retrieved by the user. Test scripts found many bugs in 3rd party controls

that required further coding by developers to prevent unhandled exceptions

in the UI layer. Software testing resulted in delays for early releases

but a highly stable product in later releases.

Client Management- Traveled throughout the country to client sites to

gather reporting and custom solutions requirements. Acted as a client

advocate during JAD sessions with the software development team and

facilitated change management with clients. Wrote custom solutions using

Excel macros to satisfy client needs until functionality could be fully

implemented in future releases of the software.
