Extraction of Uranium from Ore: Apr’13-Jul’13

• Uranium is extracted from ore by using different chemical engineering Unit operations.

The unit operations involved is Crushing, Grinding, Thickening, Filtration, Leaching,

Neutral filtration, Precipitation, Drying.

• Uranium ore is processed to these unit operations and Uranium is extracted. Heat transfer

coefficient of spiral heat exchanger is calculated.

ACADEMIC PROJECT:

Preparation of Soap Using Different Types of Oils and Exploring its Properties Nov’13-Apr’14

• Objective of this project is to prepare soap by using different types of oils and its blends.

• Soap is prepared using all varieties of oils including that of all the various blends of oils.

The soap is tested for various properties like Lathering power, Cleansing power, pH,

Hardness, Total Fatty Matter, Moisture, and Yield, compared with detergents.
