Project Title: Measurement, analysis and control of vibrations in turbo-

generator

Organisation: National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Neyveli

Duration: 3 months

Description:

. Measurement of vibrations generating in different component (bearing

shaft casing) of turbo-generator with instruments like frequency

analyser, accelerometer, Seismic velocity pickup, Proximity Transducer.

. Analysis of the results obtained under different condition like turbine

running at 3000 rpm ( with and without load )

. Based on the analysis, providing controls to prevent the vibrations that

affect the machine quality.

Project Title: Engineering Equipment's and Mechanised Construction

Techniques (3rd Year B.Tech.)

Organisation: L&T Hydrocarbon, Vadodara

Duration: 22 days

Description: In the project taken by L&T, they are constructing an

additional gas processing plant in Surat. Design of columns in CAD

software, pressure vessels design as per ASME codes and material handling

equipment were widely used in the project. The objective is to calculate

the load acting on various columns as per Euler's theory and conclude the

results so that the design should be safe, i.e. within a factor of safety

limit.

Project Title: Study of working of Boiler, Compressor and Turbine (2nd

Year

B.Tech

Organisation: NTPC, Singrauli

Duration: 1 Month

Description: Enriched with knowledge of boiler fuel firing system,

function of different soot blowers, turbine governing system, and

auxiliaries like mills, APH etc. & maintenance of boiler & its auxiliaries.

Handled & Designed Projects (In-house College)

. Fluid Coupling Mechanism Board under working conditions in the first

part of the minor project in the university

. Operation of Electromagnetic Brake that works on the Principle of

electromagnetism with the help of Solenoids and Transformer

circuits to be useful in two wheelers and four wheelers

. Designed a Robot that moves and pick up items placed in water.
