WORK EXPERIENCE

Chief Engineer - Management level position on board ship

Red Sea Marine Services - Jeddah - December 2013 to May 2014

Responsibilities

I was serving on board one of our company managed ocean going ships. I was the head of Engineering

department on board that ship.My responsibility includes overall supervision of efficient operation and

maintenance of all equipment and machinery ( Propulsion and power generation diesel engine, heavy duty

boilers, Air compressors, AC & refrigeration system, hydraulic and electric crane,purifiers, various pumps etc.).

My ship was a large oil product tanker.So I had to supervise efficient storage, purification and use of bunker

oil.As chief engineer I had to coordinate purchasing & ordering of various spare parts and bunker oil with

company to ensure the most effective and cost efficient operation of ship and company. I had to monitor the

performance of all engineers and engine department crew and guide them accordingly.

Accomplishments

During my tenure, the ship was engaged in oil loading and discharging operation in United Arab Emirates

with very tight schedule. During my time ship continued its operation without any major or minor break down.

In that time me and my team managed to get all surveys (Port state control survey, flag state survey, Sire

inspection) done without any observation which helped the ship and company to keep its position on top among

competitors.

Responsibilities

I have served on board 4 ships in this company . I was the second in charge of Engineering department

on board those ships.My responsibility included direct supervision of efficient operation and maintenance
