and programs, including software installation and programming, in

order to address student requirements.

. Train district staff, including psychologists, social workers, aides,

and both LD and Special Education students on the use and application

of assistive technology devices.

. Design and prepare User Manuals for assistive devices to be used by

teachers, aides, and students.

. Perform as the District Representative at assistive technology

seminars and trade shows in order to maintain current knowledge of

existing assistive technology options.

. Responsible for inventory control and disbursement of assistive

devices and programs purchased by the District for student use.

Includes repair and re-programming, as necessary, at the end of each

school year.

. Act as District Liaison with the local high schools to facilitate a

smooth transition for students graduating out of the elementary school

district.

. Act as District Representative at IEP Evaluations and annual student

assessments in order to define future individual student goals, and

design a plan to achieve them.

. Serve as District Representative at assessment and planning meetings

with the parents of district students, and their lawyers.
