My current position is an R&D Engineer representing Oshkosh Defense for a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle Project at

a military test site in Arizona. Some of my duties include forecasting spare parts that may be needed during vehicle

testing, support and direct Technicians when test vehicles need work, or updates. Provide daily status reports of test

vehicle progress. Before my current position I was a Sr. Product Development Engineer with broad experience

taking a product from prototype through the parts procurement process, assembly issue resolution, test issue

resolution, introduction to the production line and support in the field. Familiar with ISO9000, Lean

Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control. Experience includes managing the build, testing and upgrades to

Military Prototype vehicles, mostly MRAPS and all-terrain variable reach material handlers, excavators, and other

military products. I have traveled to test sites, assembly plants, and worked as QA representative on mine resistant

ambush protected military vehicles in Kuwait for one and a half years. I am dependable, easy to work with, have a

good attitude, and I am willing to learn. I maintain an active Secret Clearance, ITAR Clearance; FAA licensed

aircraft A&P Mechanic with an inspection authorization (IA).

I manage spare parts that might be needed on site during testing. I coordinate work requested by the test site personnel

and design upgrades. I maintain daily status updates of the test vehicles to Oshkosh Defense Corp home office. I

Support the technicians with troubleshooting, technical data, and liaison with subject matter experts from the home

office.

and tested to the correct revision level. I developed and reviewed test plans, visited test sites, witnessed testing.

Reviewed TIR’s, and assembly issues. Attended and hosted daily project progress meetings.

Best Accomplishment

• I helped the company win a Nine-Hundred Million Dollar contract which implemented the items for an MRAP

upgrade project I was managing.

Quality Assurance Rep., MRAP (Mine resistant Ambush Protected vehicle) project.

Responsibilities include:

Inspecting work performed on the MRAPS after they have been removed from the field.

I performed the in-process inspections as the upgrades and new steering and independent suspension axle systems

were being installed.

I performed the final inspection and testing of the MRAP’s after the upgrades were completed. I have performed

initial (LTI), in process, and pre-final inspections of MRAPS being serviced, upgraded, and repaired to Fully

Mission Capable status. I have also worked on the MRAPS as an FSR-II Mechanic when necessary.

• Stayed with the project from beginning until it was complete, which included more than 1200 MRAP’s and

lasted one and a half years.

• Assured that the vehicles operated as required so the soldiers could carry out their missions successfully.

• Developed an inspection guideline for the mechanics and other inspectors to follow to assure consistency.

Research and Development Test Engineer

Responsibilities include:

I was Responsible for the set up and data collection with respect to destructive and nondestructive testing (Dynamic

Stress Analysis) using Strain Gauges and EDAQ,Somat, data acquisition systems. And EASE data analysis

software. I would turn this info over to the FEA Engineers after my preliminary analysis. I was heavily involved

with Durability Testing and test issue resolutions. I performed visibility and stability testing per ASME

specifications on large rough terrain variable reach material handlers. I have also been instrumental in technical

advising during initial production runs, and in final testing on new products. This includes traveling to satellite

plants, and sub-contractor locations. I have worked in all phases of the R&D environment from product concept,

through parts procurement, assembly, testing, troubleshooting and introduction to the plant assembly floor. This

includes participating in productivity meetings, assembly issue meetings, and test incident resolution meetings. I

have led a team of technicians on various projects from start to completion. I was responsible for writing detailed

reports, as well as technical manuals describing assembly procedures, test procedures, maintenance manuals, and

field repair instructions. I served on an Engineering Best Practices team to review and update our Engineering Test

Procedures and to commonize testing between plants. I am familiar and experienced with GD&T and supplier non

conformance problems.
