Software Developer of an MNC Company which provides end-to-end IT services

and solutions for Global 1000 companies. From August 2011, I worked here

under Contract Basis initially for 6 months and after witnessing by my

astonishing excellence in Performance, got hired as an UST Regular Employee

from Feb 2011 and the excellence still continues even better.

WellPoint Membership Eligibility & Billing System

The Membership Eligibility system's main function is to enroll the

customers into WellPoint Health Insurance solutions which serve the basic

initial step for all other WellPoint areas. Customers/Employees are

provided with ease method to be enrolled into our system through the online

system belonging to a particular Employer/Client. The Customers/Employees

are also allowed to be enrolled in a bulk from vendors/Employer in Nights

by using the batch mode. Customers belonging to a Client are eligible to

select the products offered by WellPoint based on their needs. Products are

the Health benefit bundles which serves unique for each and every type. The

Product bundle is the type of product which covers a particular state

location with unique attributes. They are allowed to select the nearest or

Customer preferred Physicians from a wide range of Physicians available for

the product in that network.

The Membership Billing system's main function is to Bill the Customer for

their treaty with WellPoint. This is where we Bill the customer, Process

their Adjustments, Reconciliation of their Cheque, Invoice printing and

etc. The main Billing methods are Premium, Self and Individual Billing. The

Billing for the Customers happens at different level, different periods.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer /Team member I was involved in the following

activities:

V Took up the Technical Module Lead in the Project and guided resources

in assigning technical tasks and also reviewed those artifacts.

V Analyzing the Business Requirements which comes in form of FEATS,

Preparing Technical Response for the given Business requirements and

Requirements Traceability Matrix.

V Prepared High Level Design, Developed the code and have done Testing,

Support for the same.

V Had been an active and key resource in Implementation Support and Post

Release support/warranty activities.

V Has been the Configuration Controller (CC), Preparing CMP

(Configuration Management Plan), and handling/maintaining Project

related artifacts in internal team folder. Had been in several Audits

which focuses in maintaining the project team folder updated.

V Has been and still the Quality Controller (QC), Preparing PMP (Project

Management Plan), and Preparing the Project Metrics document on weekly

basis tracking all the defects in the project.

V Communication with external teams to get the input/clarifications or

deliver our artifacts. External teams can be either within UST or

outside UST.

V Mentoring/Grooming Resources to let them attain knowledge and

competency over WGS Membership and Billing System. So far, has

mentored/groomed countless fresh minds as well as experienced persons

who came into the WGS Membership and Billing System.

V Conducted Sessions through voice for Mexico Resources and some

internal training sessions at Chennai center for System based

knowledge transfer.

V Manage the Health Care related Mainframe Projects from Back End

Database management to Application Control level execution of the

same.

V Manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception to completion.
