WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. Turkey DTC

Description: It is a direct to consumer (DTC) online application in which

we can get the quotations and purchase the insurance policies for

automobiles, health, and travel and home contents. It is basically an

online booking application as like any other websites it has 4 modules 1.

Auto insurance, 2. Travel insurance, lead gen products, 4. Home contents so

consumer can directly login to application and take the quotes for any of

the above mentioned 4 products and if interested he can still progress and

buy them in sitting at one place along with maintaining his own account in

our application he can save his quotations for future purchases or refresh

quotes if expired.

Tools & Technologies: Java, J2EE, WAS 7.0, JSON, HTML and Oracle.

Role Played: Developer

Responsibilities / Contribution:

. Played an end to end contributor role on the user management module

which includes user registration, view / update account details and

password management. The application makes use of the combination of

Siteminder and Sun One LDAP for user authentication and authorization.

. Came up with a reusable email framework which sends pre-configured

emails to the end users. Email templates are configurable with

multiple sources and can be updated real-time. The same was used

across the application for sending emails in various workflows.

. Worked on analyzing the code quality with static code analysis tool

SONAR and worked with the leads and manager to guide the team on

prioritizing and fixing the issues.

2. Client Portal

Description: It is an insurance application Client portal. It is a portal

application for U.S. brokers

Role Played: Developer

Responsibilities / Contribution:

. Pie chart implementation was an exciting part of this assignment. Pie

chart was used to represent the ratio of the status of various

insurance policies associated with a given risk manager. This was

implemented with EasyCharts Java API.

. Developed an enhanced program contact page. A screen which dynamically

displays the contact information based on the logged in user and the

account preferred. The contact details will be maintained in the back-

end content management system, Tridion.

. Developed a customer testimonial video. Various testimonial videos are

stored on Tridion and listed on the testimonial screen with image

links. Click on any specific video icon will pop out of the screen and

plays the video.

3. APAC Portal - Event Management

Description: It is an insurance application called APAC. It is a portal

application for insured (Policy Holder) and Broker.

Tools & Technologies: Java, Web Sphere portal 6. Oracle Tridion, JSF.

Role Played: Developer

Responsibilities / Contribution:

. Event Management portlet: A part of the screen which displays events

and online trainings available for the user's geography. Worked on

online training section where trainings are picked up from Tridion.

Trainings have a provision to be created for a specific duration and

post which, they expire. User has an option to choose only ongoing

trainings and can filter and sort on various parameters.

. Event Management ADMIN: Event management admin module facilitates the

admin user to create events for a given geography and a specified

duration. Worked on the UI layer to search events and view the

participants. Also worked on the JavaScript framework to customize the

calendar based on the user geography by showing up a normal calendar

for regular users and Buddhist calendar for Thailand users.

ACHIVEMENTS:

. Obtained Pat on the Back award for an outstanding contribution on

Client Portal application. Pat on the Back gets rewarded for the

individuals who own up the responsibilities and deliver solutions

within the given constraints.

. Got the team spot award for APAC - Event Management and Turkey DTC

project. Team spot gets rewarded for the team which will delivered the

task on time with great quality.
