Experience
Tennessee Valley Authority (Contractor, TVA Retiree)
Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Spring City, TN
May 2, 2011 - August 22, 2012
Re-entered the work force in a contractor's capacity. Current
responsibilities are titled, "Major Milestone Manager" and "Systems
Completion Manager". I have been assigned the duties of oversight for the
completion of the Condensate System, Heater/Drains and Vents, Main
Feedwater, and Auxiliary Feedwater Systems in support of Major Milestones
including:
> Flood Up of the Main Condenser
> Establishing Short Cycle for Condensate
> Establishing Modified Long Cycle for Condensate and Feedwater
> Establishing Long Cycle for Condensate and Feedwater
> Initial operation of the Main Feedpump turbines
> Placing the Main Turbine on Turning Gear
TVA's strategy for completion of U2 was modified from a system turnover
priority to an Area Completion focus. I was given responsibility for
completion of the Turbine Building and associated systems. The major
systems are:
> Condensate and Feedwater
> Main Steam
> Steam Generator Blowdown
> Heaters Drains and Vents
> Extraction Steam
> Raw Cooling Water
Along with the major systems, I was also accountable for the multitude of
support systems such as Turbine Lube Oil and Secondary Chemistry.
Though assigned to Construction, through Bechtel Power Corporation, my
duties place me in the role of liaison between Construction, Start-Up and
Operations.

Joined TVA, Watts Bar Nuclear Team as the Instrumentation Manager. Led the

nuclear plants up and down the east coast. After this tour of duty I
returned to Watts Bar as the Instrument Maintenance Manager. My duties now
were expanded to acting Maintenance Manager, Department Analyst, Department
Training Coordinator, and oversight of the plant Measuring and Test
Equipment Department. In 2008 I was promoted to Maintenance Support
