Final year project done under the title "Automated Hydro

power plant using PLC and SCADA".

Project description

Nowadays, hydro power plants are operated manually. And

this project aimed to turn a manual operation into an automatic process

with the aid of automation tools such as PLC and SCADA.

Here we have introduced control valve so that water flow from the reservoir

can be controlled. Hence different flow rates can be achieved. According to

the flow rate, the power generation varies. Control valve can be operated

with the help of PLC. And the entire process

has been monitored using SCADA. The varying flow rate will result varying

power generation. This type of automated hydro power plants can reduce the

man power and easy to troubleshoot the problems occur.
