Over twenty years of technical and analytical experience in conceptual and
detail design of special-purpose machinery for automation and robotics,
packaging and bottling for food, chemical and medical products, electronic
packaging, special pneumatic valves for heavy vehicles air suspension
control, automotive parts and devices such pistons, liners and fuel
injectors for Diesel engines, antennas,
unit material handling systems, fire protection and plumbing, special
remote control maintenance equipment for nuclear electric plants, nuclear
waste repository mechanical handling equipment, salt nuclear waste
processing remote control material handling, specific demilitarization
devices and facilities, rotating equipment and pressure relief valves for
military/navy applications. I participated in prototype testing and

2009 MEP-3D Modeling and 2D Details, 2014, Unigraphics/ Micro Station J and
V8, Cad-Key, Solid Works, MSOffice (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc). Trained
in "ASME NQA-1-1994, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility
Applications", APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Tools for QS-9000 and ISO-9001,
Military Standards and Procedures. I possess relevant knowledge of
international, military, GD&T (ANSI 14.5) standards.
EXPERIENCE
. Engineering Manager, Dante Valve Co., Inc., Bellflower, CA, March
2011 to July, 2014.
As Engineering Manager I was responsible for new pressure relief
valve design, testing and qualification. I developed a new family
of globe valves and a brand new float valve. Developed air, liquid
and steam testing units for Dante Valve Virginia Facility. I was
responsible for shock and vibration testing and testing procedures
for new families of pressure relief valves. I elaborated a strategy
and procedures for professional maintenance of manual and CNC
machine tools.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Parsons Commercial Technology Group,
Inc., Pasadena, CA, January 2008 to December 2010. As a Senior Mechanical
Design Engineer, was responsible for development of special devices for RTI
International Metals Inc., Titanium Sponge Plant. Designed Magnesium
Chloride Tapping Cart, Rotary Shear Device for Titanium Sponge, and other
handling/ actuation devices. For Louisiana Energy Services, National
Enrichment Facility- LES Project was responsible for all Fire Safety and
Plumbing models and detail drawings.
Senior Mechanical Engineer, Bechtel SAIC Company, LLC, Las Vegas, NV,
February 2007 to January 2008. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, was
responsible for development of several Mechanical Handling Documents in
support for DOE License Application for Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste
Repository Project, such Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Mechanical
Equipment Envelopes, concept schemes, specifications and data sheets.
. Senior Mechanical Engineer, Parsons Infrastructure & Technology
Group Inc., Pasadena, CA, January 2004 to February 2007. As a
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, was responsible for development
of special devices for Blue Grass Kentucky Demilitarization
Facilities. Designed Special Vertical Blast Gates and Blast Doors.
Designed a new family of large Vertical Blast Gate and a new
Horizontal Electromechanically actuated Blast Gate. Designed new
Large Container Transporter and Conveyors, using a variety of
electro- mechanic and pneumatic actuators. Elaborated concepts for
several material handling equipment arrangements. At the same time
developed remote controlled material handling systems and
arrangements for Savannah River Salt Nuclear Waste Processing
Facility Project based in Aiken, South Carolina.
. Mechanical Design Engineer, Industrial Parts Depot, Torrance, CA,
March 2002 to November 2003. Designed a full family of aluminum
alloy pistons and a variety of liners for Diesel engines. Developed
rebuilding procedures and testing/calibration instructions and
tooling for fuel injectors for heavy duty Diesel engines. Oversaw
the production and trouble shouting.
. Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Barksdale, Inc., Los Angeles,
CA, March 2001 to February 2002. Designed brand new Linear and
Rotary Solenoid actuated air valves for a new family of
Electronically Assisted Air Suspension System for heavy trucks and
buses. Oversaw the prototype fabrication and trouble shouting.
. Senior Mechanical Engineer, Parsons Infrastructure & Technology
Group Inc., Pasadena, CA, March 2000 to March 2001. As a Machine
Design Engineer, was responsible for development of a special
device to close the National Ignition Facility's test chamber
access openings, and some rotating equipment for Lawrence Livermore
Laboratory. Designed a transporter for pipeline inspection and
cleaning device (PIG) for ARCO Alaska Inc.
. Mechanical Design Engineer, Assembly and Manufacturing Systems
(AMS), Simi Valley, CA, October 1998 to February 2000. Designed
custom automated assembling and testing machines and robotics for
medical parts and equipment. Developed assembling mechanism for
transfusion systems syringes and diabetic test kits. Designed
special conveyor for breast implants mandrels. Designed conveyors
and pick-and-place devices for dental braces soldering (assembling)
machines. All automation used pneumatic and electro mechanic
actuators, vibratory feeders, pick and place stations. Oversaw the
fabrication, assembling and trouble-shooting of the equipment.
. Tool Design Engineer, General Electric Nuclear Energy, San Jose,
CA, August 1994 to June 1998. Designed and developed remote
underwater electro mechanic, hydraulic and pneumatic actuated
tooling and repair hardware, rotating reactor shroud maintenance
equipment, including Electro discharging cutting machines and
measuring tools for nuclear reactor maintenance. Participated in
procurement, testing and qualification of the equipment.
. Mechanical Design Engineer, Innovative Electronic Systems, Inc.,
San Jose, CA, December 1992 to July 1994. Designed environmental
testing enclosures for electronic devices. Analyzed customer
performance and specification requirements for environmental
testing.
. Mechanical Design Engineer, Research & Design Institute, Cluj-
Romania, 1986 to 1992. Develop automatic machines for
pharmaceutical and food industries. Designed test devices for
various packaging materials for pharmaceutical products. Designed
test benches to simulate chemical and pharmaceutical packaging
