*Responsibilities include: Enrolling direct patients from doctor's office,

admitting and discharging patients. Assessing patients medically and

psychologically to assure they are eligible to be placed on our unit.

Coordinate patient care for those who will be transferred to nursing

homes,LTAC, and rehabilitation facilities. Clinical reviewer of charts to

make sure patients are appropriate for certain departments.

*Coordinate staff and caregivers to give cost effective medical care. As a

charge nurse I have to delegate to nurses who will be receiving which

patient from the er, or infusion suit. I help the nurses with their duties,

and I coordinate the flow of the unit with the OA, director, operator and

on a very demanding unit.

Texas Children's Hospital (1/12- 08/12)

R.N. - Rotavirus Vaccination Project- internship:

Responsibilities:

* Enrolling and accessing patients from Emergency Center and RTA with

suspected signs and symptoms of a gastroenteritis virus. Over 200 enrolled

patients in a statistical research study. Accessing the child for positive

symptoms of fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. Responsible for processing

saliva and stool samples in a lab for research. Duties include translating

a survey in Spanish and English for the purpose of acquiring statistical

information for research. Nursing skills included teaching patients and

family ways to prevent the spread of gastroenteritis. Attained consent from

parents to allow enrollment of their child for the research project.

Northwest Cosmetic Dental Center, Dr. Shelly Canada. D.D.S (2007-2011)

Responsibilities: Ordering supplies and providing maintenance on

equipment. Assisted the Doctor with collection of patient information.
