I worked in X-Ray Dept as a Lab Aide. My duties were to Check in patients for they're x-ray.

Where I would key into the computer the image they would be taking, such as CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound and

the regular x-ray. I would get this information from the doctor's order called e-referrals. Then I would call the

patient into the office for privacy and ask the name and date of birth, because making sure I had the right patient

was a must. I've learned procedures codes and diagnosis codes. Checked in insurance for eligibility, benefits

and authorizations. Yes, I collected co-pays and admission fees.

Caregiver for relative. Duties: Was to cook meals,showered patient, cleaning of house, escorted patient to

doctor's appointments and picked up medications from pharmacy prescribed by doctor, and paid patient

bills on line.

Working as a volunteer. I volunteered at the information desk. My duties were

to issue visitors passes to people coming into the hospital to visit family members

passes and gave to visitors. I also gave directions through out the hospital and I called

for interpreter as needed. I worked with security. I learned all about safety rules

within the hospital, such as knowledge of emergency codes, code red = fire, code blue = medical

emergency, code orange = hazardous material, code silver = person with weapon, code pink = child

abduction.
