Site Assessment Manager 09/2003 – 3/2014
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - Region III (Mid-Atlantic Region), Philadelphia, PA Initiated,
reviewed and oversaw site SUPERFUND REGION III assessments and reports. Identified hazardous waste
sites for potential placement on the Superfund NPL. Supported the development of Hazard Ranking System
(HRS) packages for NATIONAL PRIORITIES LIST (NPL) caliber sites. Collaborated closely with START
TECHNICAL SUPPORT Region 3 Team, assisting and supporting problem resolution and providing official
oversight to of all deliverables. Managed all related contract work assignments and prepared necessary
documentation including Statements of Work, project schedules and independent government cost estimates.
Conducted relevant analysis and authored Remedial Site Assessment Decisions and developed descriptive
documents supporting justification for EPA’s decisions specifically as to placement on the Superfund NPL As
Work Assignment Manager, was responsible to review and control cost and quality for numerous projects under
Regional Brownfields Program. As Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative for Targeted Brownfields
Assessments (TBAs) provided direct technical support to the Regional Brownfields Program in addition to
direct project management of TBAs. Continued study and demonstrated expertise of pre-remedial CERCLA
(SUPERFUND) process. ON-SITE Team member of Hurricane Katrina Response Mission - Louisiana (April -
May 2006). Received numerous awards and medals in recognition of consistent and superior performance

Remedial Project Manager 01/1991 - 09/2003
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - Region III (Mid-Atlantic Region), Philadelphia, PA
As Remedial Project Manager for SUPERFUND Remedial Program, implemented technically complex site
investigations, defined and implemented strategies for site restoration, applying focused time and cost
management techniques. Reviewed and evaluated existing site specific cleanup and treatment techniques and
advise when innovative, emerging technologies and/or streamlined processes would accelerate restoration.
Represented EPA as primary point of contact to public, industry officials, the media elected City, State or
Federal official and agencies, including US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Maintained and optimized the
highest level of scientific and engineering quality at remedial sites in keeping with best practices and all
applicable Federal and State policies and regulations. As Work Assignment Manager for initiatives under the
RACS Contract, lead Inner Agency Agreements (IAGs) in partnership with USACE. Partnered with START
Team to ensure that all technical support objectives were met in the most timely and efficient manner possible
