WORK EXPERIENCE
HCP Controls Coordinator
ExxonMobil Refinery - Torrance, CA - April 2013 to Present
Hydrocarbon Controls Practices (HCP) is an ExxonMobil practice to manage and regulate controlled
measurements for all pipeline products and chemicals. In most cases, these guidelines are stricter than local
Regulatory requirements.
In this role, I led the audit preparation effort for my department. The audit was completed last month with an
excellent outcome.
Implemented the use of new repair history database. The database is used by the technicians to document
all their repairs and job history.
Continue calibration record reviews and check individual equipment compliance file to ensure complete
documentation for the next audit cycle.
Continuous monitoring of Document Control and practices.

Worked with the analyzer technicians to provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance for the on-
line analyzers in the Refinery. As a specialist, I was responsible to understand how the work was completed
in my section and helped develop and drive efficiencies to ensure that repairs were being made correctly and
in a reasonable amount of time.
Continuous effort to meet the requirements of different regulatory agencies, such as EPA, AQMD, and LACSD.
Revised and evaluated the procedures when necessary. Evaluated the existing preventative maintenance
(PM) program and optimized the frequency and type of PM's which brought $80,000/year efficiency.
Coordinated and scheduled vendor training for the technicians to enhance their troubleshooting skills.

Implemented special tagging system in order to identify unusual samples. This technique eliminated the
possibility of potential fire at the lab due to atypical sample conditions.
Improved Final Product Certification turnaround time by almost 45% in the first year of supervisory, by 62%
in 2009 and maintained at that rate for the entire time period.
Increased Laboratory productivity by 14% during the first year of supervisory, by 15% in 2009 and maintained
at that level for the entire time period.
Evaluated results submitted to regulatory agencies such as AQMD and EPA.
Improved Laboratory Quality System. Updated and maintained Laboratory Procedures to meet the Company's
Quality Practices and Guidelines (QP&G). One of the routine responsibilities includes continuous evaluation of
Laboratory Test Procedures to assure compliance with American Standard Test Method (ASTM) requirements.

verifying all the test methods and their sources, evaluating Test Method Assessments, evaluating the Quality
Control standards and by following several other required assessments.
Audited Third Party Laboratories' Quality System on frequent basis.
