I am writing to express my interest for the position of Post Doctoral Fellow posted regularly on the web site (https://jobs.jobvertise.com/). While reading the detailed description of the research and job I got so much attracted towards the position and I decided to apply for it as it can be a milestone for my career. As the enclosed resume show, I have completed by Ph.D. in Zoology (Specialization: Entomology) from Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences, (Deemed-to-be-University), Naini, Allahabad-211007, I am looking for a postdoctoral position and consider this position an ideal opportunity to refine my skills and interests more and more I don?t have any problem in changing my background from Entomology to biotechnology or translational biology as it is the most fascinating and career orienting field. I know I have no expertise in the mentioned field but if given opportunity I know I am going to perform well.

I possess first-hand research experience through my former job as a project fellow under the supervision of Prof. Omkar, Department of Zoology, University of Lucknow, Lucknow from 2008-2009 as well as my Ph.D. work on ?Predation parameters of aphidophagous ladybird beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) and their role in control of aphids (Homoptera: Aphididae) in the Department of Biological Sciences, SHIATS, Allahabad. Currently, I am working as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Biological Sciences, SHIATS, Allahabad, teaching different courses of Zoology offered in the University for different undergraduate programs.

In addition to hands-on data collection and research experience, I can offer my knowledge of research methodology and statistics gained in the class of my coursework of Experimental Design. During study, I have become well versed in experimental methodology and basic statistical testing. In addition, I developed a strong proficiency in the operation of the statistical software MINITAB, 2000.

My involvement in position of Campus Leadership as a Training and Placement Officer has allowed me to develop additional skills useful to the Postdoctoral position. As a teacher, my interactions with students have strengthened my interpersonal and communication skills. As a part of the committee that plans and executes seminars and workshops, I developed a strong background in organization that will aid me in coordinating all aspects of seminar and workshop organization. I have already visited 4 countries for the oral presentation of my research work and live travelling and exploring new areas.

In addition to my research experience and skills, I can work both individually as well as in the team and believe if given the opportunity I and you will unravel hidden wonders as I consider myself as hardworking, laborious person who can work 24x7 with strong determination and dedication. I consider myself as an opportunist and if you consider my candidature I am very well sure that under your guidance as an individual as well as together as a team we are going to unravel wonders.
