enterprise while serving as head coach at the university level; built
business relationships, raised funds, led administration, and developed

Eastern Michigan and Wayne State Universities; included securing
donations, leading community projects, and facilitating charitable

Established, built, and grew a successful indoor baseball facility and
sporting goods retailer from start-up to over $475,000 in annual sales.
Direct all business functions and financial management, oversee customer
activities, and supervise a staff of ten. Deliver training sessions,
conduct classes and clinics, run camps, and manage equipment sales.
. Launched business start-up concurrently while holding Head Baseball
Coach and Sports Administration Adjunct Professor positions with Wayne
State University; continued to successfully operate the business through
tenure with Eastern Michigan University.
. Conducted strategic planning, business development, competitive
analyses, and market studies to define corporate mission and vision.

Head Baseball Coach
Spearheaded all daily program operations and personnel functions; included
practices, training / conditioning, budget management, equipment
management, travel, purchasing, and scholarship awards. Managed recruiting
efforts, fundraising, and academic tutoring. Supervised five direct
reports and 35 players.
. Secured donations of over $600,000 for facility renovations and $68,000
for the general budget.
. Hand-picked by the University President to serve on the search committee
for an Athletic Director, selected by the Athletic Director to head the
EMU Coaches Council, member of the NCAA Certification Committee - Ethics
and Compliance, and member of the hiring committee for multiple coaching
and administrative positions.
. Responsible for six wins over nationally ranked teams, nine wins over
Big Ten opponents, 37 wins in one season, and 58 student athletes in
combination achieving All MAC/All American Academic and Honors Awards,

Adjunct Professor - Sports Administration Graduate Program (2006 - 2010)
Supported mission of the institution and graduate program. Conducted
courses in Sports Administration to graduate students utilizing available
teaching aids such as charts, lecture notes, and presentations to convey
subject matter to students. Prepared syllabus and course outcomes for
course instruction. Held position concurrently while performing head
baseball coaching duties.
Head Baseball Coach (2002 - 2008)
Promoted from Associate Head Coach to continue development and improvement
of the baseball program. Directed all daily operations, practices, and
game day administration. Managed budget, purchased equipment, awarded
scholarships, and oversaw recruitment. Developed and managed new training
and conditioning programs. Implemented a baseball program study table and
created an environment of academic commitment in addition to sports
excellence.
. Raised over $256,000 from alumni, community projects, and game day
activities for field improvements, charities, and the general fund.
. Became the highest paid coach at WSU and achieved the most wins in
school history. Coached the highest draft pick ever in school history
and is currently in the major leagues.
. Created an eight-fold increase in camp attendance through marketing,
community outreach, and education.
. Worked closely with the Detroit Tigers organization to secure a grant
and fundraise for dugout refurbishment.
