I had worked in two pulp and paper mills in Venezuela, for Smurfit Kappa and Kruger Group. Most of my experience had been in maintenance for the two organizations where I had worked. Predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance had been the tools used in both enterprises.

A._ GUDIÑO`S & SONS, S.A.

Located in Biscucuy, Portuguesa State, Venezuela, South America.

1._ General Manager (January 2009- Present)

Family own business in the rental of commercial facilities. Included is a small haberdashery and hardware shop where I work as an adviser and technical support to engineering and business.

B._ PAPELES VENEZOLANOS, C.A. (KRUGER TISSUE GROUP)

Located in Guacara, Carabobo state, Venezuela, South America.

This integrated Pulp and Paper company is one of the leaders in Venezuela producing7,500 tons/month of the following grades: tissue, napkin, facial, towel and OTC paper.It also produces 3,600 tons/month of BCTMP in its pulp mill.

1._ Certification of Suppliers Superintendent (May 2007-December 2008)

Managed a team which role was to evaluate and certify firms for all outsourced maintenance labor as well as spare part purchasing and machinery manufacturing. This new position was created in order to insure the quality of services contracted at the lowest price.

2._ Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent (July 1988-April 2007)

Twenty years of accumulated experience in the maintenance field. Worked in close collaboration with all the departments, in order to help them achieve better performances at the lowest cost using “customer” oriented approach for all services, internal and external. Planned and controlled maintenance budgets for all mechanical maintenance services. Planned and controlled preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance. Improve conditions of pulp & paper mill equipment in order to reduce downtime and increase machine speed.

C._ SMURFIT CARTON DE VENEZUELA, S.A. (SMURFIT KAPPA GROUP)

Located in San Felipe, Yaracuy state, Venezuela, South America.

This paper mill is the leader in Venezuela in manufacturing container board paper. It produces 9000 tons/month. It supplies companies of the same group which operations are located in the cities of Caracas, Valencia and Maracay.

1._ Administration Manager (March 1988-June 1988)

Planned and controlled the organization monthly budget. Revised and approved the accounts payable and accounts receivables. Generated and followed up the monthly profit plan and plan report. The accountant supervisor, cost accountant, and payroll supervisor reported to this position.

2._ Preventive Maintenance Superintendent (February 1985-February 1988)

Planned and controlled the preventive maintenance monthly budget for production and power house departments. Created and controlled the daily, weekly and monthly equipment inspections. Installed and controlled a computerized maintenance system.

3._ Cost Accountant (December 1983-January 1985)

Controlled the raw materials, finished goods and chemicals for the production process. Created

the monthly profit plan and plant report of the firm. Supervised the payroll and cost departments. 4._ Lost Control and Industrial Risk Coordinator (June 1982-November 1983)

Followed up all recommendations of the insurance company to improve safety in the facility. Insure availability of safety equipment to any event that could occur. Coordinated with corporate lost control management department regarding internal and external safety inspections. Planned and controlled the national and overseas purchasing of new safety spare parts and equipment.
