Resume:

http://www.charm*cs.com

I do not have a formal resume. However, I'm 41 yrs. old and live in Buxton, Me. I've got a website which shows much of my current work, www.charm3cs.com. I discovered a passion for photography at the age of 19 when driving to Ga. from NH. I saw a huge rattlesnake on the side of the road. From a distance, it looked like a tire on the side of the road. As I got closer I saw it was a rattlesnake, I had no means to capture what I saw to share it with others.

No one will ever be able to see: the sun setting, directly in the middle of the road I was driving, gorgeous warm color about 7:30pm, the road, though predominantly flat, had a slight incline to that beautiful sun. Looking to the left flat to the horizon. Looking to the right...flat to the horizon. The same behind me. It was just the snake and me there that day, not a car or a truck, nor home or business for miles. The picture in my head still inspires me today to keep shooting.

Since then, I have gone to White Pines College (class of 1998). I've got an associates degree in professional photography. While in school, I interned for Wild Bill Studios where I was hired after graduation.

In 2000, I became the head photographer at Club Med, St. Lucia.

From there life took me to Nantes, France. It was here (in France) I worked for Chameleon Photo, shooting motor cross and Moto GP. In May of 2001 I shot the 24hrs of Le Mans.

I returned to the States in 03 after spending most of that year in Zimbabwe. It was imperative I wear many hats to survive, in which case photography took a back seat for quite a while. Digital Photography was really making the push at this time and my wallet couldn't handle it. I had to hang up the film (professionally) and certainly could not afford ALL new equipment.

In 2008, I invested my inheritance back into photography. Since then, I've done various small jobs for different people and companies. I've shot website photos for Duston Construction out of Arundel, Me (a couple of which were used as full page ads in Maine Home + Design. Dec.2013, Jan., April, and Aug. 2014 as well as future issues), I've shot for the Pine Point Grill, in Scarborough, Me. I've shot for Master Billiards in Plaistow, NH.

I've shot various extreme athlete events for Skipix.com, out of Aspen, Co. and Tri-Althete Photos out of Lansing, Mi. My photos have done very well (top sellers) for these respective clients.

Today, I take photography very personally. I put my heart and soul into every image I shoot. I have a deep personal connection to each photo I take. It is this type of passion, I feel, will eventually get me noticed as a serious photographer and one any client would hire.

When I shoot for someone, they get honest, beautiful, meaningful images...on top of practical, useable images.

I believe my style is timeless, classy and down right beautiful.

Thank you,

Rich McKinnon
