RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Study Coordinator 2005-2008

• Conducted a retrospective study of the expression of Osteopontin in synovial

tissue of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) using immunohistochemical method.

• Assessed the degeneration of the knee joints using Power Doppler high

resolution ultrasound (HRUS).

• All the data were correlated with the different clinical findings, laboratory

investigations, the scores of RA activity (DAS) and severity.

The Principal Duties:

• Prepared daily reports, weekly reports as well as sorted and filed documents in a

timely manner

Research Associate 1999-2001

Research study within the context of “Serum thrombomodulin as a marker in

assessment of the patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)”: This case-

control study including forty SLE patients and controls, all subjected to full

history taking, clinical examination, assessment SLE severity and activity (SLEDAI),

laboratory investigations using ELISA to measure serum thrombomodulin and

radiological evaluations.

• Measured Thrombomodulin marker in the serum of thirty SLE patients and ten

normal controls.

• Disease activity and severity were assessed using thorough history, clinical

examinations and laboratory investigations.

• Analyzed data collected statistically to identify the role of Thrombomodulin in the

pathogenesis of SLE.
