I am a maintenance professional with over 30 year's experience. My
experience has spanned several different industries. I have worked in
aerospace, transportation, construction and food processing. I am a proud
US Navy Submarine Veteran.
My back ground includes extensive plant engineering, project
management facilities maintenance management inspection, commissioning,
maintenance of buildings, equipment and various automated systems. I have
supervised and inspected repair work performed by contractors. Managing

Project Management, prepare specifications, systems design,
installation and repair of equipment, Inspection and
evaluating equipment for clients. Convert relay logic
equipment to PLC controlled equipment. Review and evaluate
preventive maintenance inspection procedures.
1986-2006 LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD
1990-2006 Position: Plant Engineer Hi-Tech
Direct and supervise the daily activities of maintenance
personnel, which include office staff, 15 Gang Foremen and
approximately 150 Craft personnel.
Administer a CMMS database for shop floor equipment that
is used to schedule corrective and preventive maintenance
work orders. Reviewed and evaluated inspection reports on
preventive maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled corrective
maintenance of company assets.
Reengineered equipment controls by replacing relay logic
with programmable controls (PLC) and variable frequency
drives (VFD'S)
Managed a ($3M) service contract for the repair of mobile
material handling and mobile lifting equipment.
Developed spare parts blanket orders for critical
equipment.
Train subordinate supervisors on new equipment,
troubleshooting equipment and system failures
Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of Shop
Floor Equipment, Overhead Cranes, Boilers, Chillers, HVAC,
Fuel Systems, Man-lifts, UPS systems, Switchgear, Compressed
Air and Emergency Generators
Responsible for environmental reporting and the disposal
of hazardous and non hazardous material used in shops.,

1986-1990 Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities were to represent the Mechanical
Departments interests during the design, construction,
installation, testing and acceptance of the LIRR's Hillside
Maintenance Facility.
Participated in the design of New Shop's working closely
with Shop supervision this work included the design and
purchase several automated test systems.
Prepared technical specifications for equipment and
building systems that were in place when the new Facility was
commissioned.
Designed automated and conventional material handling
systems, equipment layout.
1976-1986 FAIRCHILD REPUBLIC COMPANY
Position: Facilities Supervisor
Responsibilities were to direct and supervise the daily
activities of Maintenance personnel. The work included the
installation, repair to the component level and preventive
maintenance of automated machinery.
Inspected and accepted for the company, machines that were
retrofitted with new computerized controls.
Redesigned the Preventive Maintenance System. Reviewed
and evaluated inspection reports on preventive maintenance,
scheduled and unscheduled corrective maintenance of
government and company property.
