Supporting 150 Bureau of Land Management personnel, writing and copy editing their letters, National Environmental Policy Act documents, directives, memorandums, and any type of correspondence that is being forwarded to the public, oil companies and government agencies. Write feature stories about personnel for local and national media outlets in order to increase employee morale and provide publicity for the organization.

Copy edits the organizations web site to provide a touch of professionalism. Conduct administrative tasks on a daily basis that pertain to personnel. Attended three weeks of training on the Veterans Administration CPRS computer system at the VISN 1 Hospital in Bedford, Mass. Learned how to enter data into a secure internet system to support the health and welfare of disabled veterans. This information was medical histories, military service histories, etc., and was protected by HIPPA Laws. Refilled prescriptions, set up doctor appointments, and filled out paperwork for disabled veterans in the CPRS computer system within the VISN 1 VA program. Worked as a veteran's service representative for department and assisted them with any forms they might need to enroll for benefits or claims. Explained VA benefits for them and guided them to personnel they needed to see about their benefits. Conducted interviews and counseling for veterans in order to provide them with the health care they needed. Provided transitional services for veterans coming back from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Provided outreach services for veterans and distributed outreach brochures, fact sheets, and other materials that were used for veterans centers. Worked with media to inform them about veteran’s services that were provided for them and their families. Maintained working relationships with veteran’s agencies and any other agency in support of returning troops.
