Dear Nursing Supervisor,
I am writing this cover letter, because I am applying for the position
of RN. I recently graduated from Simmons College this past May. During my
last semester I completed my preceptorship at BWH on 16AB, and I am
currently working at BWH as a PCA in the float pool.
I feel as though, I have developed excellent skills both through my
preceptorship and work as a PCA. I have had the opportunity to work in many
settings including: med/surg floors, orthopedics, various floors in the
Shapiro building, ED, ICU, and CWN. These experiences have enabled me to
demonstrate my excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the
ability to prioritize patient care. I have also learned from my experiences
that I prefer working as a team member, because it fosters a healthy
working environment. Lastly, I am very respectful of others and always work
hard to provide excellent patient care.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this position in greater
detail and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for taking the time
to consider me for this position.
Sincerely,
Dakotah Benson
