Shift Manager-Succasunna, NJ
I started Boston Market as a server/cashier. My duties included prepping front line, making sure all food was
filled and looking appealing. It was my job to make sure customers were served in a timely manner and that
their needs and wants were exceeded.
After a year, I was promoted to Shift Manager. As Shift Manager, my duties include opening the store each day.
I am also responsible to ensure that all of the team members are executing all of our standards, specifications
and recipes so that we will create awesome food that is served quickly by warm and friendly people. It is my
responsibility to make sure each chicken is cooked to the correct temperature, and that all equipment is running
correctly. I am responsible for understanding, executing and training other employees on all of our standards,
specifications and recipes as well as role modeling how to interact with our guests and teammates.
I am in charge of counting and reconciling the register tills each morning, as well as doing bank runs for
change. As Shift Manager, I am also responsible for receiving the weekly truck delivery. I must complete an
inventory before driver leaves to ensure accuracy and then entering accurate counts into the system for each
item received.

As a Child Care Provider, my duties consisted of taking full-time care of three young children ages 2, 6, and 11.
I was responsible for changing diapers, feeding breakfast, lunch and dinner, and on occasion bathing and
putting to bed. On school days, I helped the children with homework and anything extra that needed to be
done. My goal for each day was to make sure the children were happy, healthy, and entertained.

Cashier, Front-Line Supervisor, Membership Services- Roxbury, NJ
As a Cashier, my responsibilities included scanning all items in cart and transferring to a new cart. I was
responsible for keeping my money drawer organized and turning in drawer at the end of each shift. I made
sure that my station was always neat and clean at the end of each day. I was responsible for putting away all
damages and returns. I always greeted Club Members with a smile and reminded them if they needed to renew
or update their membership.
As a FLS, my duties included helping customers with self-checkout issues that may have occurred. I was also
responsible for ensuring that each cashier was given scheduled breaks in a timely fashion and locking and
unlocking registers as needed. I handled guest complaints and incoming phone calls, as well as making notes
of progress within the store and reporting any change to a store manager.
As a Membership Service Associate, I was responsible for all returns and layaways. I handled keys for storage
and self-checkout lanes. My main duty was to sell memberships to new customers and renewing to established
customers, as well as getting sign-ups for BJ’s credit cards.

Dietary Aide – Chester, NJ
As a Dietary Aide, my duties varied on a daily basis. I was required to learn about various types of diets,
including Low Sodium, Low Cholesterol and Diabetic. I also have experience with brain injury dietary needs
including tube feedings, pureed foods, finely chopped and bite size, as well as thickening foods and drinks as
per the needs of the patients and orders by Doctors. Daily cleaning responsibilities included putting away food
orders, preparation for next meal, floor stock and nourishments, preparing and delivering bed trays, putting out
cards for new admissions and taking off discharges for that day. Also included daily was sweeping, mopping,
taking out cardboard/garbage, cleaning entire kitchen and dish room duties. I also was responsible for
answering phone calls from doctors and nurses. I also have experience working in the café cashiering and
preparing grilled items and sandwiches for guests and employees. I was chosen by my superiors to train new
employees in all aspects of all positions in café and kitchen areas.

Hostess – ITC Mount Olive, NJ
My responsibilities included greeting and seating guests with a smile and letting them know all new entrees,
soups and drinks for the day. As a hostess, I was responsible for making sure each server was assigned the
same amount of tables, bussing tables and making sure the restaurant was at its cleanliest the entire day. At the
end of the day, I helped the servers clean and roll silverware for the next day, cleaning adult menus and folding
new kids’ menus.
