Work Experience

Harbor Metal Treating

1998 To Present

I was hired as a maintenance technician and within a year I was promoted to maintenance supervisor. During my time

at Harbor Metal I have been in charge of maintaining inventory of critical parts, work scheduling for three employees,

record keeping of all work performed, and training of employees within the maintenance department. I have been in

charge of installing new electrical services for all new equipment and troubleshooting electrical problems of old

equipment. I can read and understand electrical blueprints and ladder logic to understand how a machine functions and

locate problems. All the production equipment in the shop is electronically controlled and recorded on a computer

system. I am in charge of keeping the system functioning and I troubleshoot and fix everything from a bad board to a

bad wire or perform any software update installations needed. I am a certified welder and do custom fabrications as the

company needs. My main responsibility has been maintaining and installing industrial heating and cooling equipment

and I have done everything from installing a 90,000 B.T.U. high efficiency office furnace to a 1,500,000 B.T.U. heat

treating furnace with all the labor performed by my department. Cooling is also a big part of my job and I have

installed many R-22 and R410A air conditioners for offices and liquid nitrogen cryogenic systems for the factories at

some of our plants around the country. In 2000, my shop was purchased by a corporation (Blue Water Thermal) and

they have used me at many of their factories in the chain of heat treats around the country to help with repairs and get

their maintenance departments up to their standards.
