Supply Chain analysis, correction, design and implementation; Partnered with

BellSouth/ATT/YP’s manufacturing vendor to correct Shipping Issues from 35% failure to

6%, thereby reducing Shipping cost by 15% over $9 million budget and reducing in house

downtime allowing fulfillment rate to increase production 7%.

Warehouse and Transportation Management System re design, integration and

implementation to allow customer critical in house and moving stock to be viewed for

current and historical significance to allow for more accurate forecasting causing over

ordering to drop 12%.

Domestic and International LTL strategy evaluation and changes resulted in decrease in

annual Spend by 40% or $2.3 million in first 2 years while increasing service options and

levels by increasing on time delivery from 82% to 97.5% over first two years.

• Communications – Creating and continually upgrading focused teamwork within

the Transportation Department and company wide allowing for regular open lines of

communications decreasing production downtime, increasing on time customer delivery,

increasing in house reporting accuracy and decreasing accounting over payment.

• Standardized Logistics of rolling tour staging/merchandise to leverage larger

volumes of similar work to be forecast, bid, implemented, tracked and analyzed resulting in

sourcing of more established vendors at controlled costs resulting in 13% less Spend & 8%

more on time delivery.

RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Directory Distributing, Associates – Duluth, GA October 2004 – Present

Transportation Manager

Directly responsible to Regional Vice President for efficient and cost effective of Customer’s

product from Manufacturing plants to point of delivery and storage/fulfillment center, then to final

customers in an ever tightening Supply Chain.

• Contractor procurement and management,

• Administration and grooming skills created and communicated new Standards to vendors

and in house customers allowed all departments new freedom to communicate effectively.

• Developed new communications paths to Home Office and other divisions to share

forecasting, tracking and reporting decreasing failure rates and decreasing transportation

costs.

• Company Liaison with BellSouth/ATT for Manufacturing, Transportation and Logistics

resulting in the formation of a trusted vendor/customer team set that became standard

throughout two other regions. Participated in 8 rounds of Six Sigma evaluation with

BellSouth/ATT.

• Reach through BellSouth/ATT Supply Chain to document and work with manufacturing

teams to document and correct manufacturing delivery failures, turned success. Worked

with Customer’s annual scheduling team to change long held scheduling algorithms to

allow for better success in timing and incur cost savings. Work with Customer’s

programmer to upgrade deficient Transportation Management System. Spearheaded work

with Warehouse to mesh Customer’s proprietary Warehouse Management System and

Transportation Management System. Teamed with Customer’s Supply Chain outside of

telephone directory distribution to increase profitability and on time shipments of Supply

Chain outside of the United States.

• Proposed, developed and implemented improvements to interfaces with all in house

departments to improve understanding of Transportation’s link to all departments and team

with the different departments to tighten Supply Chain so to meet and exceed their

Warehouse Manager June 2001 – October 2004

• Manage receipt, storage, fulfillment, inventory and preparation for outbound shipments for

Customer’s annual $45 million inventory with over 1,200 SKUs each with 6 different Sales

Group division components. Worked with customer’s programmer to augment Warehouse

Management System.

Increased team concept between field 46 member telephone directory delivery manager

team and divisional warehouse to help support information and shipments to and from the

field resulting in error and failure reduction and Transportation savings.

Telephone Directory Delivery Manager August 1999 – June 2001

• This position consisted of travelling throughout the southeastern United States Region with

responsibility to staff and open temporary telephone directory delivery offices that could

recruit, train, hire and retain a high level of work and documentation with 7 15 temporary

office workers and laborers and between 10 200 independent contractors.

• Every one of 22 jobs completed on time or early as well as under budget and beat the

Customer’s quality requirement of 98.5% verified acceptable delivery.

• Design and implementation of cost savings measures for delivery site procurement and

travelling manager short term accommodations responsible for a 25% cost reduction during

the first 6 months totaling $150,000.00 while maintaining Customer’s requirements.
