Roles

Responsibility :

Act as a Level 2 and Level 3 support for a few applications based on informatica. The names of some of the

applications and it’s brief description are as follows:

1. Quattro Staging Area (QSA) is an ETL application designed to load the sales and marketing data of AZ.

The medical representatives of AZ enter the important sales data through an application named Quattro which gets

loaded in an OLTP Siebel database. This data is picked up by the ETL workflows of QSA and moved to the central

OLAP Data Warehouse which is then moved to the respective marts for different markets which involves different

countries, for e.g. : Germany, Italy etc, where the data is used by the business analysts for various needs of their own.

2. Quattro Cube can be regarded as a child application of QSA. The data loaded till the Data Warehouse by QSA is picked

up by the ETL workflows of Quattro Cube and then used for some KPI (Key Performance Incentive) calculations for which

the required transformations had been developed to apply the correct business logics and moved to the marts of 56 different

countries across the EMEA and ASIAPAC region. This data is further used for reporting by using Business Objects

Reporting tool.

3. Pegasus is an ETL application designed to load the sales for Singapore and Malaysia.

4. Amazon finance is a suite of Finance reports with integration of various finance source systems maintained by customer

(SAP/Hyperion).These source systems maintain customer’s sales, expenses and headcount Information at different level of

grain.

5. EDW Harmony Sales and Channel is an advanced version of QSA using the EDW architecture.

6. Brand Performance Reporting (BPR) is a reporting solution which provides unique and consistent view of global,

regional and market level brand performance, based on international IMS data, internal financial data, and globally defined

market and data metrics.

7. EDW SIGHT is an application that operates in the EDW data warehouse environment, processing metrics built from input

SCORE messages to consolidate data values, link them to required facts/dimensions, and send this consolidated data to

GCS and GPS.

• The main work is to trigger the data loads (daily/monthly/weekly and yearly loads) by executing informatica workflows,

monitor the loads and after completion of the loads, validate the data by executing a few queries on oracle, which checked

the data between source and target.

• If the workflow fails at any point, had to restore the load after deleting redundant data (if required) and also after re-

setting the control table records.

• Also work on the tickets raised by client if they face any issues, for example, they are not getting the required

Output when they are trying to fetch the report through a reporting tool, in our case,SAP Business Objects.

• Create application specific and other technical documents, also give knowledge transition to new folks.
