JOB RESPONSIBILITY IN BSI STEELS:

. Responsible for the mobilization of production planning and material

management of work at site, with proper safety and quality measures,

to meet the requirement of progress of project.

. Monitoring quality systems (AWS D1.1) & compliance with pre set

standards, troubleshooting and maintaining requisite documents to

ensure complete in-process quality & improvement in process

capabilities.

. Doing fit up inspection and welding inspection. In accordance to the

drawing specification and relevant codes.

. Implementation and monitoring of QCP, method statements.

. Implementation of Procedures, ITP & Method statement requirements in

fabrication and erection.

. Monitoring Welding Progress, Weld Visual inspection of Pre

fabrication.

. Control Weld quality as per QC plan, Procedures and Standard. Maintain

QC records.

. Witnessing / inspection of fit up, welding.

. Witnessing / inspection of Test heads and welder's qualification test.

. Welder performance monitoring and course correction based on RT

reports.

. Maintaining record of welder qualification, calibration of welding

machine and electrode ovens.

. Before welding, performing fit-up inspection for proper root gap,

groove angle, root angle, root face, and checking the preheat

temperature.

. During welding, performing In-process inspection welding inspection

such as preheat and inter-pass temperature and proper cleaning between

the weld beads.

. After welding, doing the final visual inspection and marking for

repair and rectification.

. Co-coordinating with external inspection agency as per requirement in

site. Arranging for conduct of MPT & UT for bevels and Weld joints as

per ITP procedure.

. Maintaining of welding, welder, calibration log on daily basis.

. Coordinating with client inspection team and project management team.

. Knowledge in studying of structural fabrication & erection drawings.

. Plant and equipment are in a safe condition and adequate for the job.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY IN PRATHAB ENTERPRISES:

* Established standard inspection procedure and launched the concept of

quality to all the members in the working environment resulting in

remarkable increase in productivity.

* To receive the approved drawing from the Bharath Heavy Electricals

limited (BHEL) Engineering Dept

* Material identification, welding consumable verification, visual

inspection, Dimensional check, welder qualification, welder training

and performance monitoring.

* Review of QC plan, co-ordinations, supervising, monitoring

fabrication, installation, inspection and quality control of elector

static precipitator, pressure vessel and structural work, Stage

inspection, final inspection & visual inspection.

* Dimensions, tolerances, preparation, fit-up and alignment are in

accordance with the Approved drawings and standards.

* Reviewing of NDT Reports and recommendation for repairs, liaising with

client.

* Man power planning and material Handling.

* Co-ordination with client

* Ensure all the documents are kept updated and are traceable.
