ANALYSIS OF EFFICIENCY LOSSES IN ANGULAR JOINTS OF MECHANICAL

LINKAGES

A mechanical linkage is an assembly of bodies connected to manage forces and

movement. Our aim is to study about the simple mechanical linkages and it losses which use the

leverage principle. Mechanical linkage are used in the heavy machinery since its reliability is

more but the loss in efficiency when compared to the other system like cable operated linkages.

The objective of this study is to improve the brake linkage efficiency of vehicles by optimizing

the angles of the linkages.
