ACADEMIC PROJECT

Project 1: Implementation of Electronic Throttle Control System

Operating system: Windows

Language: MATLAB

Hardware Requirement: Mbed (LPC 1768), Potentiometers, Position Sensors,

Servomotors

Description:

Electronic throttle controls establish the essential connection

between the acceleration pedal and the throttle valve using electronic

signals instead of a mechanical link. A typical electronic throttle

consists of a throttle body with an electric motor, a pair of throttle

position sensors and a control unit. Generally, the electronic throttle

employs a closed-loop control algorithm. The desired throttle position is

calculated based on the information from both the acceleration pedal and

other systems (e.g. engine controller, electronic stability control, cruise

control, etc.). The control unit the desired throttle position with the

actual throttle position and sends the appropriate signal to the motor to

drive the throttle to the desired position.

This system involves control of the throttle position using electronic

circuit for more accuracy and other added

advantages.

Responsibilities:

. Involved in Testing of assembled Electronic Throttle Control System

. Involved in Programming using Mat lab

Project 2: Vehicle Security System Using GSM Technology

Operating system: Windows

Language: MATLAB

Tools: 8051 microcontroller, GSM Mobile

Description:

As soon as we know that the vehicle is theft, we get missed call from

the car automatically and by giving a call the mobile which is placed in

the car, the ignition of the car is made off and the fuel is cut to the

vehicle through valve, the activation of security system is done with the

help of remote by the owner.

This project consists of a mobile at the car, which is interface to

the microcontroller. As soon as the call comes, the triggering circuit

provides signal to the input port of 8051, the ignition of the car is made

off and the fuel is blocked and the car can't moved further.
