Implemented enhanced security for access and authentication to some of the eModal product

The eModal systems were supplemented by an application server running a GE Electronic Data

Interchange Translator, a custom made EDI X12 parser written in C++, and an XML data import

module written in VB.Net. The Application Server received over 10 million container records per

day from over 45 marine terminals throughout the,, and, and imported them into the database

server. Wrote software tools in VB.Net to coordinate the flow and the movement of all the data

files.

facilitated bartering between companies. Ubarter hired Mr. Silver after Mindcorps terminated its

services to Ubarter to pursue other business.

Collected and defined the functional requirements for completing, upgrading, and implementing a

web based customer product database.

Advised Ubarter’s Chief Technical Officer about the overall hardware and software architecture

that was needed to support Ubarter’s information technology needs. Managed a development

team of four, and oversaw all new development and the maintenance of the existing systems.

Technologies used at Ubarter.com included HTML, JavaScript, Active Server Pages, Visual

Responsible for the functional analysis, technical design, and implementation of FRMS, a

web based application that used the Windows Distributed Internet Applications Architecture

(DNA). The purpose of the Financial Request Management System was to track all steps related

to a Request of Information from the finance department at Attachmate. The system included a

groupware feature that combined electronic mail and a web based interface.

The client side consisted of web based system that used DHTML on Internet Explorer 4.01 SP1,

VBScript, client side XML processing, server side XML processing, and Cascading Style Sheets

to give the user a rich visual experience. He implemented business rules on the middle layer with

a combination

of Active Server Pages on IIS 4.0 and Visual Basic 6.0 COM objects. The third layer consisted of

a large Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 database. He did extensive programming and made extensive

use of SQL stored procedures, because the performance was of paramount importance to the
