Student Researcher January 2014 – December 2014

Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Ga

Design and perform experiments to isolate consistent genetic markers for Kallman Syndrome. Perform

tasks including confocal microscopy, micro-injections, qPCR experiments, and to create and maintain

multiple lines of C. elegans.

Major Accomplishments:

• Successfully defended project funding proposal, resulting in $700.00 award for personal research

and work.

• Presented and defended research at Spring 2014 Student Research Symposium, resulting in an

award of second place out of 30 researchers.

• Assisted Brila Carbon Student Researcher on award winning presentation.

Miss Cobb County 2014 August 2013 – September 2014

Miss America Organization, Cobb County, Ga

Act as the official representative for Cobb County at executive and formal events. Raise awareness of a

personally chosen social issue and become an advocate for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Provide representation of the Miss Cobb County Organization at the Miss Georgia Competition.

Major Accomplishments

• Designed and executed a 5K fund raising race in Wayne County, Georgia March 2014. Raised

$6,337.86 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals from this event.

• Participated in speaking events, while becoming an advocate for breast self-exams. Speaking

engagements were held in Cobb and Wayne Counties in Georgia along with Columbia County in

Lake City, Florida.

• 1 Runner Up, Miss Georgia Organization, resulting in representation of Georgia at the National

Sweetheart Pageant in Hoopeston, IL.

Pharmacy Technician August 2012 – March 2013

Guardian Pharmacy, LLC, Marietta, Ga

Read, fill, and deliver prescriptions to numerous health care facilities in Cobb County and the surrounding

area. Run an automated prescription-filling machine. Oversee quality control and drug destruction for

medications coming in and out of the pharmacy.

Major Accomplishments

• Received Pharmacy Technician Certification

• Trainer of other staff on proper handling and distribution of prescription drugs

• Facilitated entry of a 200 bed care facility into prescription distribution electronic system, which

resulted in a significant increase in financial gain
