PROJECT:

“EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF HYDRODYNAMIC JOURNAL BEARING

USING SAE20W409 COMPARED WITH VEGETABLE OIL-BASED NANO BLENDED

BIO-LUBRICANTS” under the guidance of Prof. Baskar, Department of Mechanical

Engineering, SCSVMV UNIVERSITY. It involves an experimental comparative study of a

journal bearing lubricated by conventional lubricants with nano-particle blended bio-

lubricants. The project’s main objective was to provide for a more viable and enhanced

alternative to the existing conventional lubricants.

“TO STUDY THE POSSIBILITY OF EXPERIMENTALLY MODIFYING THE

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF RAPESEED OIL AND TO COMPARE ITS

PROPERTIES WITH NATURAL RAPESEED OIL.” submitted as a mini-project to

Department Of Mechanical Engineering, SCSVMV UNIVERSITY. It involves designing the

experimental conditions for the chemical modification and to check if the modification has not

changed its internal structure by comparing it with natural Rapeseed Oil.
