PROFILE:

• Inspection of Static Equipments (Pressure Vessels, Towers, Heat Exchangers)

• Internal & External visual inspection of plant piping, pressure vessels, heat exchanger, storage tanks,

towers etc. for corrosion, erosion cracks, pits, thinning or other failures.

• Witness the Hydro test, Pneumatic test & NDT

• Witness & verify UTM values.

• Inspection of Main shell, Tube Bundle, Channel head, etc. of Heat exchanger.

• Preparation of final documents and Inspection completion reports (ICR).

Responsibilities Handled at H.P.C.L.

Projects:-

Fuel Refinery pipelines.

Lube Refinery pipelines.

Off - site pipelines.

• OSI (On Stream Inspection) of Pipelines as per API 570 & OISD 130 and as per HPCL

Specification.

• Co-ordination with different departments for Stage wise Inspection activities.

• Preparing Pipelines drawings (Isometric and AutoCAD).

• Verification of isometric dawning. Conforming line check as per P&ID.

• Planning, scheduling and providing work direction to UT Technicians.

• Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging and Liquid Penetrate Testing done on pipelines.

• Coordinating with technicians while the hydrocarbon pipeline inspection is being carried out

and offer any clarification is required.

• Have handled execution, documentation support

• Inspection role for meeting statutory requirement.

• Witnessing the Hydro testing of the pipe lines / Exchangers / Towers / Tanks / Drums

Synopsys

• Assuring that all required on stream inspections are performed on time.

• Analyzes inspection findings. Prepares reports. Generates replacement & recommendations

based on inspection OSI & UT Report.

• Maintains inspection reports. Review of final reports.

• Keeping current of the latest developments in equipment inspection standards, codes,

practices, procedures, methods, inspection equipment safety requirements, as applicable.

Maintains inspection databases.

• Ensures documentation is current, accurate and compliant.

• Have physical ability to perform essential job functions of an inspector which includes ability

to climb stairs, columns, racks etc.

• Able to work extended hours as necessary.
