Job Description
1. Exercises for the Installation Head, functional supervision and
control over agency guards and serves as principal staff
assistant in the implementation of security contract provisions;
2. Conducts periodic inspection in ranks to contract guards as
scheduled and post to post daily inspections to posted guards to
institute measures and implement plans and programs aimed to
upgrade their state of morale, discipline, efficiency, fitness
and ensures safety and protection of corporate assets;
3. Conducts checking inspection of materials/supplies/equipments to
be brought out against issued gate passes intended for such
items and checks validity thereof;
4. Performs escorting duties to foreign dignitaries/prominent
officials (local and national) and other visitors visiting the
plant complex as well as transport of vital equipments,
materials and cash payrolls;
5. Formulates and prepares contingency plans of different
scenarios, Security Implementing Procedures (SIP's) on
personnel, materials, vehicular and lock and key control system
for implementation of the agency guards;
6. Institutes and conduct preliminary or formal investigation
against violators of corporate policies and prepares/submits
formal investigation report for management action;
7. Represents the Group Manager in the filing of cases and
attending court hearings with the assistance of the Provincial
Prosecutor;
8. Prepares and submits security reports (weekly, monthly,
quarterly and annually) to concerned NPC top management for
ready reference;
9. Prepares security plans and programs to review/upgrade current
security strategies focused on the improvement of security
implementing procedures and contingency plans to attain a zero
pilferage within AOR and to avoid other security breaches;
10. Prepares and submit monthly reports of security contract
violations by the contracting security agencies and its guards
as the basis in the deduction of penalties through their monthly
security billings including list of guards whose services have
been terminated for cause;
11. Requires a daily guard status report to the security agency and
the immediate reporting of all incidents of loss, injury or
damaged to life and property;
12. Determines the security requirements of the installation, thus
includes the determination of the appropriate system or the
proper combination of security manpower, equipments, facilities
and operating procedures as the need arises or through periodic
security assessment or audit;
13. Screens, select, accept and/or reject agencies individual guards
in accordance with NPC's preset criteria.
14. Serves as link with law enforcement agencies and local
government officials re-protection and security of NPC assets;
15. Conducts surveillance, information gathering, verification,
investigation of accidents/incidents involving NPC interest.

Reports to the Complex Security Officer for evaluation,
assessment and dissemination to all concern;
10. Performs escort duties to Disbursing Officer and other organic
personnel needing personal protection in the performance of
their duties, as well as transport of vital equipments and
materials and also to foreign dignitaries and top government
officials visiting the plant complex;
11. When the Complex Security Officer goes on official leave/absent,
act as Officer - In - Charge and always coordinate with other
concerned officials on matters of security and is authorized to
sign gate passes and other documents concerning security and to
submits report on matters acted upon;
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by
Superiors.
