Rane Engine Valve Limited is a part of Rane Group of companies, involved in the

manufacture of valves and valve train components. The company was incepted in the year

1959,at present the company has 5000 employees and operating with US$430 million.

Designed the part feeder path and selected the suitable vibrator based on specification.

Reduced the production cost and production time by altering the man power.

Estimated the payback period on implementing the suggested part feeder.

ACADEMIC P ROJECT

Title : Optimization Process in Gundrill Machine

The objective of project is to reduce the overall cost of the process carried out in

Gundrill machine.

The layout optimization helps the machine more compact and the improved shop floor

control.

Also includes the elimination of waste in various concerns of manpower which leads to

the effective process flow.

Installed automatic part feeder,validated motors and added peripheral components

increased the productivity rate and reduced the coolant consumption .
