Education
I graduated from Garrett H igh School in 1979 majoring in metal,
d rafting and math with a H igh School Diploma
Attended IVY Tech College- Ft. Wayne, I N from 2002-2006 majoring in
I ndustrial Electricity for apprentices acquiring a CDC in Industrial
E lectricity
Attended IVY Tech College- Ft. Wayne again from 2007-2008 majoring
i n Heating Ventilation and Air conditioning acquiring a CDC in HVAC
Work H istory
April 10’ to present- Working as the lone maintenance tech. for Meijer
B akery, part of Meijer Central Ki tchen in M iddlebury I N. My major
responsibili ties include t rouble shooting machines, continuous improvements
to all machines, conveyors, processes and layouts. PM’s on all machinery.
Facilities .Installation of new machines, including setting in place, wi ring,
leveling and first run adjustments. PLC programing (ladder logic), ordering
parts and making sure there are back up parts on the shelf and whatever i t
t akes to keep the bakery producing product on t ime.
June 09’ to April 10’- Work at the Waste water t reatment plant for the City of
S turgis, M I.
Testing water throughout the process from in fluent to effluent. Doing
maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds. Any tasks needed to keep
t he plant running at optimum efficiency.
June 08’ to February 0’9- Worked as maintenance for Metaldyne in Freemont
I N. Trouble shooting and maintaining machines th roughout the plant. Build,
modify and install new machines and fixtures as needed to improve
t hroughput of production. Work included but was not limi ted to electrical,
hydraulics, pneumatics and metal working.
June 97’ to Dec. 06’- Worked at DANA/ EATON Clutch in Auburn IN. the first
5.5 years I worked as a machinist, running lathes, grinders, mills, cnc’s,
gang drills and center less grinders. I also heat-t reated part and some
assembly work. The last 4 years were spent in my Electrical apprenticeship. I
spent this t ime working hand in hand with the 9 Journeymen and 1 Master
electrician learning the t rade. At the same t ime I went to IVY Tech. for the
f i rst time, I took 15 classes as required by the UAW and US Dep.t of Labor to
acquire my journeyman card. I finished my apprenticeship in Nov. of 06’ and
was laid off Dec. of the same year, hence my return to IVY Tech in the spring
of 07’.
June 87’ to June 97’- I worked for ARO Corp in Angola, I N as a machinist. I
r an mills, drills, lathes, screw machines, cnc’s specialized machines and hand
tools. I did some shipping and receiving and assembly work.
