INDUSRIAL TOUR:

Visited, KLTPS (Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station) near Pandhro village in Kutch district where I saw and

employees of them shared with us the electricity produced with the details and methods implemented. It has two

different units ( unit 1 & 2 producing 70 MW and units 3 & 4 producing each producing energy of 75MW per

units and a total amount of energy producing 290MW, which increases per year by an average of 80-100 MW

approximately. The unit 2 ( 3 & $ ) is of Elektrim Poland and BHEL respectively.

Visited, Nirma Chemicals located in the outskirts of Bhavnagar where I was explained the company manufactured

consumer products such as detergent, soap, toilet soap and salt respectively while Industrial products such as

Lab,Aos, sulfuric acid, pure salt, soda ash, vaccum evaporated iodized salt,Ssp and sodium silicate respectively.

Saw the production, packaging and labeling done and also the control dept. where the SCADA shows the activities

performed recently and if any alarms generated in Historical and Real trends respectively.

PLC: Basic of PLC, developing program using RSLogix 5OO on Allen Bradley PLC - MicroLogix 1000,

MicroLogix 1200, SLC 5/03. Program development with Simatic Step7 on Siemens PLC (S7-300-315-

2DP), practice assignments on industrial application of plc. Mitsubishi PLC (FX 2N).
