Duties and Responsibilities

1.Prepare contract drawings based on the clients drawing and quantities prepared by the sales

and estimating department.

2.Prepare drawing time schedule for each project with consideration to the time schedule

stipulated in contract.

3.Check the possibilities of making conventional building into pre-cast structure by using

different kinds of system offered by the company. (i.e. Swede Beam System, Hollowcore Slab,

Tee Slab or Form Slab System)

4.Develop standard drawings for easy preparation of pre-cast element fabrication drawings.

5.Preparation of fabrication drawing for the pre-cast elements such as columns, beams, wall

claddings, etc.

6.Checking of erection drawing and details based on the contract drawings as well as on the

clients supplied architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings. Making sure that all

requirements of different trades are being considered in the design of each pre-cast element.

7.Checking of element fabrication drawings prepared by the CAD operators.

8.Coordination and dealing with the construction manager / supervisor in casting and erection of

pre-cast elements.

9.Preparing some 3-dimensional details.

10.Prepare as-built drawings for each building for final handling over of the project.

1.Determine the most efficient solution for the building framing to minimize the weight,

difficulty of construction, and cost of the project.

2.Site analysis: Site features, prevailing winds, and solar orientation to determine the placement

of the building to minimize energy losses and conflicts with natural system.

3.Prepare quantity takeoffs, schedules for items such as doors and finishes, cost estimates, and

specifications for the building construction contracts.

4.Prepare presentation drawings together with details for estimates and pricing.

5.Prepare mechanical plans, plumbing, heating, electrical, and structural in addition to the

architectural plans.

6.Design and supervise construction of the engineering aspects of buildings, including structural,

electrical, heating, and plumbing.

7.Prepare colored perspective and scaled models for presentation to the client.
