MRS. SHAMIRA DENICE BANKS

OBJECTIVE

My goal is to use my extensive administrative & customer service experience to cater to the needs

of one or more executives.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

I have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and all other

Windows operating systems.

I have over 10 years experience in administrative assistance, administrative coordination,

customer service, inventory control and accounts receivable & payable.

I am capable of handling numerous tasks simultaneously and ensure proper, professional and

prompt follow up.

I excel working in a group and I’m just as successful working alone with little or no supervision.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2003 – Present A. L. Distribution, Inc. Houston, TX

Administrative Coordinator/Office Manager

Through researching my competition and choosing/creating quality recruitment ads that fit each

environment, I am responsible for the placement of those ads in widely circulated newspapers that I

acquired business accounts with, scheduling interviews from the responses received and conducting the

preliminary interview.

I handle all new recruit paperwork; identification badges, daily, weekly and monthly master

reports as well as accounts receivable and payable, profits and purchases for each distributor on file and

any transactions that take place at the facility. I create all of these documents in accordance to the laws of

the state and I train the administrative assistants in our other locations to complete ALL these duties as

well.

I created a comprehensive administrative manual that outlines all the duties step by step so that

any task can be easily completed, even in my absence

I travel to our new facilities and set up digital and paper files, hang certificates of occupancy and

all other compliance materials, shop for inexpensive, yet chic furniture to fill the location, decorate,

complete the starting inventory and interview, hire & train a new administrative assistant. I leave once

we’re confident in her abilities

Finally, I review the other administrative assistant’s weekly paperwork to ensure accuracy and

address any issues or professional weaknesses they may be facing during a weekly conference call.
