PROJECTS:

1. iConfirm WSS Integration

Currently iConfirm gets the FX trades confirmation details from IMMS

- BNYM's back office system. With BNY's merger with Mellon, their

respective back offices are not yet merged. Hence heritage Mellon, which

uses CHARLIE as its back office system, could not make its clients to use

BNY applications. Bank's middle office WSS (Wall Street System) will be

upgraded to take over the Back office functionalities of both IMMS and

CHARLIE which will facilitate heritage Mellon clients to use BNYM's

applications.

2. iConfirm - iDeal Forex SSIs Integration

Currently Bank inputs standard settlement instructions (SSIs) on

three different applications - iConfirm, iDeal Forex and IMMS. The goal of

this project is to make iConfirm the centralized repository for SSIs. Thus

whenever iDeal Forex clients input a SSI, this has to be saved into

iConfirm then and there to keep the repository updated. Thus iConfirm must

expose more than 20 web services for the benefit of iDeal Forex clients to

add/update/delete the SSI and key-in a new SSI incase if the existing SSI

doesn't want to be used for the trade. iConfirm will also need to advise

back IMMS with iDeal Forex SSIs for further settlements.

3. iConfirm ReArch Project

The goal of this project is to revamp the existing iConfirm

application for better Graphical User Interface (GUI) using Adobe Flex and

reliable, secured client-server communication using Windows Communication

Foundation (WCF) Service. This project involved re-implementation of the

entire code base ranging from User Interface (from html to Flex), Middle

ware components (using WCF Service) and the backend SQL Server 2008.

Reports are converted from SQL Server Reporting Services to Business

Objects Crystal Reports. This project has dependency with numerous upstream

systems like Front office Foreign Exchange (FX) trades capturing systems

(iDeal Forex, iHedge, iFX Trader), Middle Office FX trades execution system

(Wall Street System - WSS) and the Back Office FX book of records

(International Money Management System - IMMS).

4. iConfirm - BlackRock

BlackRock Global Funds (BGF) is the biggest client of iConfirm with

the trade inflow of about 9000 trades per month. iConfirm sends End of Day

(EOD) Hedge, Spot and Cancel trades positions in XML and Coma Separated

Values (CSV) file format and moves them to various BGF servers using

Network Data Mover (NDM). Till date this is a scheduled process that runs

once a day. Due to various reasons like last minute amendment of trades,

the Global markers Middle Office wants to suspend the process, correct the

discrepancies, and send the files out at the deferred time. To facilitate

this to Middle Office (MO) users, iConfirm has provided automation

abilities so that a Middle office user can start/stop the scheduled process

from iConfirm website. In order to validate the trade positions before

start/stop, reports are provided to them to make sure trades reconcile

properly between iConfirm and its upstream systems. The start/stop process

has been designed with scalability that this can be enhanced for any other

clients in future. A new utility is created to generate files given the

parameters for any client or any type of file format. Later, this project

is reused for similar kind of activity for the Hong Kong based client BGF,

which supports CNH/CNY (Renminbi) currencies.

5. iConfirm - MT304 Messaging

The clients and custodians have to get notified about the executed FX

trades. The MT304 messaging implementation facilitates to generate the

notification messages on executed FX trades by Straight through Processing.

The messages will be delivered through a highly secured, protected and

trusted network called SWIFT in MT304 format and also through FAX by the

RightFAX. This implementation also helps the custodians to settle the FX

trades through the CLS Bank (Continuous Linked Settlement Bank).
